Title: Nurse Practitioner

Reports to

MD/Owner regarding medical issues
Office Manager regarding administrative issues


  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (or later if required to complete all daily activities)
  • Weekend and night call coverage on a rotating schedule
  • On occasion, some evening and weekend marketing support may be required


  • Part Time or Full time
  • Hourly
  • Includes benefits depending on hours worked

Allied Pediatrics is a “Breast Friendly” office that believes in vaccinations. Following this philosophy, the primary function of the nurse practitioner is to provide high-quality patient care in a timely and efficient manner and to work with the office manager to facilitate the smooth operation of the office.

Essential Functions

  • See patients in the office
  • Cover any other provider’s patients if they are sick or on vacation
  • Cover night and weekend calls on a rotating schedule
  • Maintain complete and accurate charts for all patients
  • Maintain HIPPA and OSHA compliance at all times

Non-Essential Functions

  • Support the marketing and advertising efforts


  • Current Tennessee RN license and an active Tennessee APN license
  • National Nurse Practitioner certification
  • Current DEA license
  • Current NALS, PALS and CPR certifications (training provided as needed)

Required Education and Experience

  • Masters in nursing (MSN)

Preferred Skills and Abilities

  • Spanish-speaking
